Tony - Chimerical

I change my mind a lot. I usually don't agree with what I say very much. I'm an awful liar. – David Bowie

Who

I go through major crises every few months, but then I have great peaks of belief and creativity. I’m a weird kind of animal.
– Brian May

Who am I?

A writer, an author, and a storyteller. My lack of outward expression is made up for in writing—my way of showing what I truly mean. In my work, you will find parts of me, some in characters, others in a setting; some may even reveal themselves in a monologue or a bit of dialogue.

I drift endlessly through worlds other than our own, building people and places that are entirely my own; that is my form of expression. Fiction is my passion—historical or otherwise—as I find reality so uninteresting so often.

Who am I? I am someone caught in a dream that others may understand, or they may not. In everything, I must infuse my unique taste; structure is often lost, unless it is structure of my own invention. Writing is my passion, my way of releasing what I can never say with my lips.

I am a writer; my world is creativity.

Who? Who am I?

Drifting through worlds, the written creations in my head, is what I am doing. I seek to understand the natural, so that I might fuse it with my imaginary. History and myth are the canvases that I paint upon with my words, for the future, I believe, can be synthetic, while the imaginary is so fluid.

Chimerical: a hope that is almost impossible to achieve, or an animal of myth. I strive to fill my work with imagination, using ideas none else would think to utilize. My quote represents my truth, and how I think. Ideas I fashion are often tossed about in a torrent of doubt, until the inadequate are thrown away and the satisfactory are developed. In life, my head swims with ideas and thoughts, and I often forget to soften the truth when speaking, or consider another’s perspective. Most times, I am a terrible liar, so I often do not bother trying to.

Above all, my stories and pieces are windows into my head, glimpses at the many genres, themes, ideas, and stories that lie there. They are often succinct, though within them, you may find a world that sits beyond, waiting to be built upon. Rarely do I write a piece that exists on its own, for in my head, they each bear a world of stories that may or may not be written.

I am that, and much more.

In my stories, you will find the rest.

    Dear Tony,
I am in love with your writing. I can for sure say that I was no where near this good. Your writing is so captivating I didn’t want to stop reading.

Something that I would work on for you is elaborate more on what your blog is about because I am still not 100% sure what you want your theme to be.

I will for sure keep reading more of your stuff. Keep up the good work!

    Sincerely,
    Felicity

    Dear Tony,
You are simply amazing, and this piece is an excellent mirror of your soul. I feel like I really got to know you through this short piece. This gave me goosebumps. You write with such insight and knowledge is heavy in your words. For improvement, I would suggest going over your work again to avoid lengthy sentences. Otherwise, you have done amazing. You’re going to do amazing this year. I can feel it.
    With love,
    Tolu.

    Dearest Tony,

Wow. From the moment I heard your “Quick Write” at the beginning of the semester, I had a feeling that you were a brilliant writer, and I am happy to say that I was not wrong! Your writing fuels my soul in such a unique way through your sophisticated vocabulary and vivid imagery. This was simply a beautiful piece!

I struggled to find anything for improvement; you followed the criteria very well. I only suggest that you make it a little bit longer. Expand on your ideas and explain your theme on an even deeper level.

Thank you for the chance to get to know you! I look forward to more of your writing this semester.

    With infinite love,
    Jed

      Dear Jed,

I feel humbled to receive your praise, as I was truly impressed by your own About Me page (That rhyme was not intentional). I am certainly excited to get to know you as well, and to see some more of your work. Your advice makes sense to me, and I will see if I can lengthen it slightly. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

      Sincerely,
      Tony

    Dear Tony,

I decided to check up on you for my additional blog comment, and I could not have made a better decision. I’m struggling to find a way to make this seem genuine and not just a regular comment, but Tony, this was special.

The uniqueness of the short-and-sweet approach is brilliant, and we get to see just a glimpse of your creative genius.

One area of improvement (and I know that this is nitpicky) would be to explain your URL. I absolutely adore it, as it showcases the beauty and creativity in your words, and I would love another explanation of anything in your words.
Extremely well done, Tony. I will definitely be back to fill my mind with your beautiful pieces.

    Sincerely, Zaid.

    Dear Tony,

You’re writing blew up my mind and also made me more excited to read your novel. It really felt like you took your about me and mixed in your imagination. Something to improve is maybe make the writing a little more simple because it took me multiple times to understand it. That’s probably because my reading skills aren’t that great and your writing skills are on another level.

    Sincerely,

    Arham
